Co-Facilitating a Learning Community for Foundations
We are practitioners of the Equitable Evaluation Framework™ (EEF), which guides much of our work. We serve as peers and practitioner coaches for this initiative, supporting staff at 40+ foundations across the U.S. working to shift their evaluation and research toward equity, reimagining the purpose and practice of evaluation by expanding concepts of validity, objectivity and rigor and embracing complexity. It’s our privilege to hold and host this community of practice with our Equitable Evaluation Initiative colleagues, building trusting spaces where foundations consider the responsibilities and possibilities of philanthropy.
We have written about what it feels like to engage in this revolutionary work alongside our colleagues here. At the time, we were writing from our perspectives on the Oregon Community Foundation research and learning team, where we participated in the first class of EEF practitioners.
